ABOUT US
The National Education Day, 2nd of May 2015, was a special moment. That’s when the National Education Museum of the Indonesian Education University was established. Inaugurated by the Governor of West Java at that time, H. Ahmad Heryawan, Lc., the construction of the National Education Museum is a form of UPI’s responsibility as a university that cares about the preservation of the nation’s cultural historical heritage, especially in the field of education.
What’s different about us? Besides preserving and exhibiting collectibles, we also forecast how education will be in the next upcoming years. Meaning, apart from exhibiting the history of past education, this museum can also be a place to study upcoming education in the future.
The existence of the National Education Museum is expected to become a vessel for research centers and learning resources that can improve the competence of educators and learner’s insight in improving the quality of education. In addition, this museum can also be a cultural tourism destination, starting from the local, national, and even international levels.
The National Education Museum records the history of national education through “Leading and Outstanding” conservation, education, research, and recreation efforts. Through available rides, visitors are able to, not only see our exhibited collections (something to see), but visitors are able to also do something (something to do) and share experiences (something to share), as well as purchasing keepsakes (something to buy).
